Summary
Considerable parts of the foundation of the church were exposed, dating to the 13-14th centuries. Towards the city wall medieval and Samian pottery had been found. Towards the north of the site a masonry footing, apparently of Roman date, had been unearthed.

Full Description
In 1935 The Canterbury Archaeological Society excavated upon the site of the north wall of St Michaels Church within the Cathedral Precincts. Considerable parts of the foundation of the church were exposed, dating to the 13-14th centuries. Towards the city wall medieval and Samian pottery had been found. Towards the north of the site a masonry footing, apparently of Roman date, had been unearthed.
