Monument record TR 15 NW 2165 - Roman Cremation, 3 Thannington Road
Summary
In Sepember 1964 a Roman tile cist was found during road widening, outside No. 3 Thannington Rd (since demolished for the building of the A2). It contained an urn, two Samian dishes, a Ludoric dish, a ring necked flagon and a bag shaped beaker, all dating to the second century.
