Monument record TR 15 NW 2178 - Roman Occupation, junction of High Street and St. Margaret's Street

Summary

During extensive drainage works in Canterbury in 1860 Brent observed 'at Roman levels' a quantity of charred wheat was observed by John Brent. The layer was 15-20cm thick and full extent was not revealed.
