Monument record TR 15 NE 1608 - Medieval Structure & Human Remains, 44 Burgate Street
Summary
The earliest structure was of was of late 12th century date. This was overlain by a mortared chalk block built wall of 14th century date. A number of human bones recovered by the contractor are believed to have been connected with a pit or grave under the late medieval floor of the building cutting through the late Roman levels.
