Summary
The supposed site of the late Saxon and early medieval water mill, 'St. Mildred's Mill', is on the south-east side of the River stour, between St. Mildred's Tannery and and St. Edmund's Road. It is shown as such on the OS Map Roman and Medieval Canterbury and is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.
