Summary

Late Saxon/Medieval Westgate watermill is mentioned in the Domesday Book of c. 1086. It also appears on Braun and Hogenburg's map dated c.1572 as Westgate Mill, and is later shown as Cock Mill on Bingley's map of Canterbury dated c. 1800. It's position is also shown on the modern OS Map of Roman and Medieval Canterbury.
