Full Description

Cropmark of boundary ditch of unknown date sited to TQ 6766 7151 from good quality air photographs. (1)

This cropmark was seen on aerial phoptgraphs taken in 1978. This cropmark has an irregular width and can be followed, with one break for 120m. It is aligned east-west and as such, is on a different alignment to both the existing field boundaries and the nearby Late Prehistoric or Roman examples seen as cropmarks (NMR 765241). This was mapped mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(2)
