Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: ES Orientation: 040220 30-SEP-1936 Least depth over wreck 46ft. Position 51 06 27.5N 001 21 0E or 140deg, 1.68M from dover castle fs. 08-DEC-1936 Sweep clear at 40ft, foul at 40ft. Found by sounding, least depth 47ft. Drift sweep on 23-SEP-1936, Clear at 45ft, foul at 48ft, least water 46ft in 51 06 27.5N 001 21 06E. 02-OCT-1939 Located in 51 06 24N 001 21 06E. (Dover secret orders 035, 15-FEB- 1940). 01-MAR-1961 Least echosounder depth 47ft. 13-NOV-1961 Drift sweep, clear 43ft, foul 46ft. Least echosounder depth 44 in 61ft. 15-MAY-1962 Buoy numbered "12". 28-JUN-1962 Chain swept. Clear at 50ft, foul at 53ft in 60-65ft. Buoy withdrawn. 31-DEC-1970 A non-sub contact reported in 51 06 24N 001 21 06E. (H012/39 dover secret order 035, 23-NOV-1939 No.17). No contact in this position probably original report concerned wreck in 51 06 20N 001 29 45E, which gives very good contact. 29-MAR-1978 Located during area side scan sonar search. Least echosounder depth 14.2m. 10-NOV-1977 In 51 06 27N 001 21 04E. Ng coords 634555E, 139640N. Least echosounder depth 13.5 in general depth 19m. Scour 21m. Side scan sonar gave poor shadow on sonargraph, but estimate ht at least 3.8m. Length 55m, lying 040/220deg. (1)
