Full Description

Medieval and post-Medieval features consisted mainly of rubbish and cess pits truncated by the modern cellars. The formation of a number of 11-12th century pits respected the line of the wall, suggesting the boundary may still have stood at this time. Also excavated was a 14/15th century stone lined cess tank, against the St John's Lane frontage.
