Full Description
Chartham Paper Mill shown on 1st, 2nd and 3rd edition OS maps. A mill has existed at Chartham since the Domesday Book. There was a fulling mill by 1438 and paper production started by 1730. It has been claimed that tracing paper was invented at the mill and it is still manufactured there.
