An evaluation and watching brief took place at Wilmington Grammar School for Girls during 2015. The evaluation trenching revealed 4 linear features on a east to west alignment ranging from 0.7m to 0.9m in width and between 0.28m and 0.45m in depth, they appear to form two intercutting pairs. The watching brief revealed a circular feature with a 4.75m diameter. In the feature a small quantity of clay-pipe, peg-tile and post-medieval pottery was found. Datable material suggests the features are post-medieval and may be garden features.(1)(2)
