Full Description
An archaoelogical watching brief took place during the demolition of The Old Forge, St. Peters in 2014. The only feature encountered was a cellar lines with chalk blocks which stood beneath the southern end of the Old Bakery and had been sealed by one of the concrete slabs. The cellar was square in plan. The infill of the cellar was formed of laminated layers of chalky soils and demolition debris, including a kitchen sink. (1)
