Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: SWS Orientation: 085265 GSA recommend that this wreck be examined for least depth at 3 yearly intervals - Report No.1 - Jan. 1991. 29-JAN-1969 Sketched by divers. Most of bows and hull collapsed. Only the stern recognisable, which is highest part. Wreckage is approx 45m long, standing 2-5m off seabed and lying with 15 deg stbd list. 29-DEC-1970 Least echosounder depth 32m [105ft] in 37m [121ft]. Flat seabed. Found only while sounding on 7-OCT-1970. Not located by sonar and not examined further. Position - 51 10 27N 001 42 58E. 18-MAY-1978 Located using hf6 in 51 10 28N 001 42 58E. Least depth 29.6m. 25-MAR-1978 Utm coords 410255E, 5670120N. Lies 095/275 deg. Length 63m. Sonar height 8.9m in general depth 38-39m. 24-FEB-1984 In 51 10 28N 001 42 59e. Least echosounder depth 30.4 in general depth 37m. Scour 2.5m Deep. Side scan sonar height 5.5m, Length 40m, approx. Lying e/w with e end either buried or breaking up. 17-AUG-1985 In 51 10 28N 001 42 58E. Least echosounder depth 33 in general depth 37m. Scour depth 40m. Side scan sonar height 7m, length approx 40m. Lying e/w to n of large scour. 14-AUG-1986 In 51 10 22N 001 42 59E. Least echosounder depth 30.7 in general depth 37m. Scour depth 38m. Side scan sonar height 8m, length 40m, approx. Lying e/w. 12-OCT-1987 In 51 10 23N 001 42 59E. Least echosounder depth 30.6 in general depth 37m. Scour depth 40.5m. Sonar height 6.75m, Length 55m, breadth 7m. Whole but with no distinctive shape and lying 100/280 deg. Magnetic anomaly indicates iron content of about 200 tonnes. 04-AUG-1988 No marked differences from above report. Least echosounder depth obtained 30.8m. Sonar length about 80m. 16-SEP-1988 Lies at right angles to ridges in sand waves and has well defined scour to S. Orientated 095/275 deg. Length 97m, width 16m. Sonar height 8m. No masts or other projections observed. 21-JAN-1992 In 51 10 23.1N 001 42 59.4E. Swept clear at 30.7, Foul at 31.2m. Least echosounder depth 31 in general depth 37m. Scour depth 40.6m. Side scan sonar height 8.7m, Length 90m. Lies 085/265 deg. Has two high points - the 2nd with depth 31.1m Lies 25m NNW of listed position. Good magnetometer deflection obtained. (1)
