Full Description
A large unstratified assemblage of worked flint was found spread evenly across the entire site. These archaeological components were settled on top on the natural geology and were probably derived from no longer extant subsoil features through ploughing; no cut features of this date were
identified during the excavation. The flint assemblage consists of tools (scrapers, blades and arrows), discarded cores and debitage, which in general relate to two distinct phases, the late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age. A small quantity of unstratified Neolithic pottery was recovered within the
alluvium at the south of the Site. (1)
