Full Description

2 Shelter sheds were recorded in a buildings survey in 2011. They are 2 cattle sheds associated with the Manor Farm. One of the sheds was constructed as a cattle shelter which was open fronted to the south. It is timber framed and weatherboarded over a brick dwarf wall with a hipped plain clay tile roof. The building measures 12.3m by 5.2m. The building survives remarkably intact. The Shed is characteristic of an early/mid 19th century date.
The Second Cattle Shed was originally open fronted to the east. It is also timber framed and weatherboarded over a dward wall of orange red English brickwork. It measured 12.8m by 3.6m. The building is also remarkably intact. It is the earlier of the two, being typical of the period 1800, it is not shown in the 1810 map so most closely post-date its production. (1)
