Length about 240ft. Lies SE/NW in a hole. 14-JAN-1972 Wreck, about 100m in length, apparently upside down or on its side. Identified as a freighter and not a submarine as previously thought. Least echosounder depth 36.5m. 25-JUL-1972 Examined in 51 11 05.6N 001 45 00.7E. Partly swept - clear at 113ft in general depth 128ft. Length of wreck about 25m. 06-NOV-1981 Shown as wreck 36m in 51 11 08N 001 45 00E on Dutch survey, FEB-1981, k8495/11. 12-FEB-1984 In 51 11 06N 001 45 03E. UTM coords 412690E, 5671250E. Least echosounder depth 33.6 in general depth 40m. Scour 6m deep. Side scan sonar height 5m, length approx 55m. Lying 330/150 deg with build-up of sand possibly covering S end. Deep scour to N of wreck. 08-DEC-1986 Found during area search. 05-MAY-1989 Swept clear at 33.6, Foul at 34.1m. Least echosounder depth 34.1 in general depth 41m. Scour depth 45.7m. Side scan sonar height 5.8m, Length 90m. Large wreck orientated 160/340 deg, lying on its side or upside down. N end lies on crest of small sand build up and S end in a deep scour. Gives good magnetometer response. (1)
