On 30th November 2011 the ARCH team from KCC were surveying acid grassland on Dartford Heath. Three barrows were identified during this work. All co-ordinates, directions and dimensions are approximate. Barrow A is located at NGR 551348 173267. Roughly 7 or 8 meters across with a clear ditch surrounding a standing earthwork mound. A200-year old oak is growing out of one side of the mound. A trench appears to have been dug into the mound from the northeast and there is a depression in the centre.
Barrow B is located at NGR 551369 173279. Roughly 7 or 8 meters across with a clear ditch surrounding a standing earthwork mound. The mound is truncated by a path which crosses it and is in the process of being eroded. Barrow C is located at NGR 552019 173221. Roughly 6 or 7 meters across with a clear ditch surrounding a standing earthwork mound.
