Resembling bus shelter because the north wall has been removed. Air Warden was one Mrs Batterbee (Les Birch). Photographic record made (2014) (1).

The site of a former Second World War Air-Raid Precautions post located at the corner of Westbrook Avenue and Bridge Road at the eastern end of a large publich air raid shelter (MKE124317) which is visible on RAF aerial photographs -RAF/106G/UK/1378 V 5031 04-APR-1946- and was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024.
