Vertical Datum: LAT Quality of Depth: ES Orientation: 030210 27-JAN-1967 Large wreck located in 51 13 30N 001 49 47E. Least echosounder depth 79 in general depth 128ft. Scour 132ft. Lies N/S, lies close W to a bank. 05-JUN-1967 Drift swept - clear at 67, foul at 69ft. 20-MAR-1968 Drift sweep - clear at 68, foul at 69ft. About 500ft long and lying 020/200 deg. Least echosounder depth 77 in general depth 126 - 130ft. Scour depth 131ft. 28-JAN-1969 Examined by divers. Sketch indicates merchant ship about 150m long, 19m wide, lying on port side. 01-JAN-1971 Examined in 51 13 28N 001 49 52E. Least echosounder depth obtained 24.4m [80Ft]. 27-JAN-1971 Gives good fishermans sonar contact from N and NW. 06-NOV-1981 Shown as wreck 24m in 51 13 27N 001 49 52E on Dutch survey, FEB-1981, K8495/10. 10-JUN-1982 Reported that Rotterdam Ports Authority are considering removing this wreck. Thought to be a vessel sunk in 1940 by gunfire from shore. 12-JUL-1982 Removal of wreck to commence mid-July for at least a 3 month period. 24-MAY-1983 Report received from Taklift 4 - wreck now clear. Depth at lw 37m. 07-JUL-1983 Wreck Site wire swept clear at 35.6m. Only minor wreckage remains. 12-APR-1989 Least echosounder depth 34.1 in general depth 37-38m. No scour. Side scan sonar height 2.1m, Length approx 60m. Ill-defined contact apparently covered with sand and orientated 000/180 deg. Sandwave with least depth 34m lies 150m SE. 18-AUG-1992 In 51 13 23.5N 001 49 54.5E. Least echosounder depth 33.4 in general depths 36-38m. Scour depth 36.8m. Side scan sonar height 2.2m, Length 60m, width 45m. Lies 030/210 deg with northernmost end buried below seabed level. Sand waves in area confuse the examination of this wreck. (1)
