Summary

In the early 1960s, Wigmore Park was created in response to local demand, in an area of rapid housing development. Wigmore park lies in an area of ancient woodland which formed part the 174 hectare Wigmore estate. The park was opened in 1978, occupying approximately 3 hectares. The planting of the park is late C20.
