Findspot record TQ 55 NW 368 - Palaeolithic Hand Axe, Sevenoaks Quarry

Summary

Recovered as a surface find during an archaeological excavation in 2015, a largely complete cordate hand axe was found. The Palaeolithic hand axe was made from mottled dark grey/light brown flint. With one exception, all scars appear to be the result of the creation of the hand axe. The exception may represent river rolling damage.
