Full Description
Three ring-ditches of approximate diameters 30m, 22m and 18m respectively were detected in Area 3, Field 12, and have been classified as Probable Archaeology. Immediately north of the 30m ditch a weak trend also has a penannular form and could represent another ring-ditch. However, as it is barely visible above the magnetic background, it has been categorised as Possible Archaeology.
Elsewhere, a number of former field boundaries were identified, as were field drainage schemes and several pipes. Areas of magnetic disturbance may be due to relatively modern consolidation or the spreading of green waste. Numerous weak trends may be of agricultural or natural origin.
Anomalies of natural origin may represent palaeochannels. Ploughing was detected, and large ferrous responses are due to electricity pylons.
