Full Description

Founded in 1892. In 1901 it was established in a purpose-built 2-storey, brick building in King Edward Avenue. An operating theatre had been added by 1903. Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) Hospital - civilian hospital which provided 15 beds for military patients at some time during World War 1. The building is still in use.
