Full Description
This feature is recorded in the English Heritage Historic Area Assessment for Allhallows Parish. The report states: in 1839, "the village comprised little more than a group of farmsteads, a public house, a former poorhouse, vicarage and church…in the latter part of the 19th century…the former poorhouse began functioning as a post office…The former post office…survives but have been modernised and exhibit little external evidence of their origins" (1)
