Monument record TQ 75 NE 987 - Hearth or Kiln base, Newnham Park
Summary
As part pf the excavation of 16 test pits ahead of development on the site the base of a kiln or hearth was uncovered from one of the two pits which contained archaeological features. Constructed from re-used late Medieval Kent peg tiles, it is unclear whether the hearth/kiln was for industrial or domestic use.
