Full Description
The site of a Second World War roadblock constructed on on Nash Road, Salmestone adjacent to the Ashford - Ramsgate railway line in mid 1940 to counter the threat of German Invasion. The roadblock was manned by Margate Home Guard and is recorded in the war diaries of 198 Infantry Brigade – Ref: 159. (1)
