A building assessment was carried out in the warehouses on Cambridge Road in 1996 ahead of proposals to convert them into retail outlets.
Taken from the source (1996): Building six is a large warehouse of mortared red brick (English bond) set between a framework of iron girders, painted green (externally) and grey (internally). The north-west elevation has a large wooden window at ground level. There is a large wooden louvered opening in the gable above, also painted green. The south west elevation contains a series of doors and windows including an original pair of double wooden doors reached by a flight of concrete steps leading up from the slip quay internally the south-west side of the building has been sub-divided to form an office toilet block and electric mains cupboard. The south east wall contains a large now blocked wooden window at ground floor level and a large wooden louvre in the gable. (1)
