Full Description
A building assessment was carried out in the warehouses on Cambridge Road in 1996 ahead of proposals to convert them into retail outlets.
Taken from the source (1996): Building seven is a large warehouse of mortared red brick (English bond) set between a framework of iron girders, painted green (externally) and grey (internally) with a concrete floor. It is contemporary with building five. The north-west elevation has two large wooden windows at ground level. There is a large wooden louvered opening in the gable above, also painted green. The north-east elevation shows three large windows and two large wooden doors. A double wooden door and two windows are set at basement level at the north west end. The south east elevation contains a large wooden framed window at ground floor level (now blocked) with a large wooden louvre above. The brick built south west wall is pierced by four large windows now opening onto building 8, probably originally set into an external wall. (1)
