Full Description
From the report: "Linear F is Roman and planned in at right-angles to the Roman Watling Street. It is of particular interest that the modern field boundaries, some 2000 years later are parallel to this Roman field boundary and even more astounding that the Middle Bronze Age field boundaries are themselves
parallel even though they are 1600 years earlier than the Roman field boundary. It may be that the
Roman Watling Street followed an even earlier track dating to the Iron Age or even the Bronze Age." (1)
