An undated quarry pit was the sole feature found in Area C during the archaeological evaluation of land south of Canterbury Road West. "With the exception of an undated quarry pit no finds or features were present in Area C. Four trenches were excavated in this area, each targeting geophysical anomalies and yet three were negative. This would appear to confirm that the focus of archaeological activity is centred to the south and Area A" (1)
