During test pitting at the site of the grand shaft entrance courtyard off Snargate Street, Dover, the remains of a post medieval brick built vaulted culvert were identified within the lower work of a brick sleeper wall recorded under the central roadway. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information).
