Monument record TR 34 SW 1541 - Series of Saxon soil deposits (N5) uncovered during excavation in Dover Town centre, 1975-6

Summary

A series of localised Saxon soil deposits, covering an area of approximately 70 square meters was located and excavated, immediately to the west of the west wall of the Roman Saxon shore fort, in the north west corner of the northern excavation site. It is unlikely that these deposits constituted a structure, rather they represent soil and domestic rubbish spread over a comparatively small area.
