Monument record TR 34 SW 1543 - Saxon structure (N7) uncovered during excavation in Dover Town centre, 1983

Summary

A Saxon structure, was located directly overlying a slightly earlier Saxon structure (N6) and the Roman building, to the north west of Market Street, Dover. Only parts of the west and south walls of this structure were uncovered and these consisted of a series of oval post holes in deep and wide wall trenches, which cut through the floor of the earlier structure. (location accurate to the nearest 2m based on available information)
