Full Description
An overgrown Second World War pillbox lies c. 40 m east of the old sewage works, Thurnham. It originally formed part of the defences of Detling Airfield. It formed part of the defences of Detling Airfield. It is visible on 2012 aerial photographs (1)
Visited in 2024 as part of the Maidstone 20th century military and civil defence survey. Condition described as "Good overall condition, gun mount in place, embrasures bricked up." (2)
