Full Description
An overgrown Second World War pillbox lies c. 50 m north of Binbury Castle. It originally formed part of the defences of Detling Airfield and is visible on 2012 aerial photography. (1)
A 2024 survey concluded that it is a Type 22 Light Anto-Aircraft Variant. Brick and concrete construction with brick facing, six sided, with 6 machine gun embrasures. Weapons mounting pole laying on roof. Low brickwork extra protection around base level. The structure was in good overall condition (2)
