Summary

During extensive rescue excavations undertaken across Dover’s Town centre by Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit, a latrine block was located against the inside face of the south wall of the Classis Britannica Fort, in 1971 at the Battle of Britain Homes site. 7.2m of the latrine's chalk block walling was traced in the south west corner of the site. (location accurate to the nearest 2m based on available information)
