Monument record TR 34 SW 1644 - Road between barrack blocks 26 and 27 (B42) of the CLBR fort II, located at the Battle of Britain Homes site, Dover.

Summary

During extensive rescue excavations undertaken across Dover’s Town centre by Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit an area of metalling was located, occupying the space between barrack block B26 and the presumed location of B27, in 1971 at the Battle of Britain Homes site. This metalling probably represents a road running between these two buildings though its full width was not observed. (location accurate to the nearest 2m based on available information)
