Monument record TR 34 SW 1654 - Chalk block drain (B84) of the CLBR fort II, located at the Battle of Britain Homes site, Dover.

Summary

During extensive rescue excavations undertaken across Dover’s Town centre by Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit a chalk block drain was located at three points in a metalled area in the south east corner of the fort at the Battle of Britain Homes Site in 1971. A total of 11m of this drain was uncovered running south-east from the perimeter road. (location accurate to the nearest 2m based on available information)
