Full Description
Cropmarks of a single ring ditch with a diameter of 12.6m visible on aerial photographs and identified through excavation to be an early Bronze Age round barrow with traces of Neolithic mid to late Neolithic activity.
The site was excavated by the Thanet Archaeological Unit from 1976 to 1982 and found to be one of at least 6 ring ditches, part of a possibly middle, certainly late Neolithic to early Bronze Age ceremonial landscape in use between c. 2800-1700 BC. (1,2)
