Full Description
An aerial photograph analysis in 2013 found evidence of a probable Second World War embankment and path. The feature lies just beyond the eastern end of what was RAF Manston’s airfield. This and nearby features may be associated with navigation to the airfield or the operation of the airfield’s FIDO system. These features appear to have been constructed in c.1944. There are now no above ground traces of these features and the site of some of these features is beneath the overburden.(1)
