Summary

During excavations undertaken at the site of the Old Salem Chapel off Biggin Street Dover, a layer of black alluvial mud was recovered across the site between the natural brick earth and footings of the old chapel. The eastern side of this layer overly Roman Deposits. (location accurate to the nearest 5m based on available information)
