Full Description
'Oval Pillbox No.4' is shown on the 1919 Chatham Land Front Map. It formed part of the Stockbury defence line. It formed part of the Chatham Land Front and would have given fire support to the trenches to its front. (3) It would have been supported by fire from the Square Pillbox (not yet seen) reported to be about 600 meters to its rear.
