Full Description
The site is shown as consisting of an oval WWI pillbox in (2). It would have been supported by a barbed wire belt.
As above but a preliminary visit in 2011 found no pillbox or rubble etc. to indicate demolition. MB Farms who farm the land report only two pillboxes in the area and gave permission to search the area.
The pillbox shown in this location on The Chatham Land Front Map was not found (2). There was no sign of rubble to suggest it demolition and nearby woodland was also searched. It seems that this pillbox was either demolished soon after WWI or was never built.
