Full Description
A redoubt positioned between Cranbrook and Cromas Woods. The Chatham Land Defence Map (see ARA26) shows at least 1 MGE (2).
A small redoubt with wire belt, shown on The Chatham Land Defence Map but not visible in the 1940’s aerial survey probably because it was among trees (2).
The site is on a small rise in Cranbrook Wood near Cromas Wood. It is wooded with coppiced chestnut. There are signs of disturbance of the which may be the remains of the Redoubt, now backfilled.
