Full Description

A Strong Point consisting of fire trenches, 6 MGEs, a Bombing Pit, an Artillery Observation Post and a dug out. The Bombing Pit and Observation Post are shown in the attached photographs. The grid reference above shows the approximate centre of the works. The main fire trench runs from gr 587086-163941 to 587253-164158 and is shown on the relevent section of The Chatham Land Defence Map attached (2). This latter point is the start of ARA76. The whole is protected by a barbed wire belt. (1)
