Full Description

The trench is at 90 degrees to the road and would allow it to be enfiladed about 100m from where it comes to the top of a short rise and a slight right hand bend. There is what may be a filled in longer trench with a low embankment just before this.

What seems to Slit Trench anbout 2.5m long by 0.6m wide, now filled in to a depth on 10cm. In scrub woodland on the north of the road, running at 90 degrees to the road.

There is also what may be another trench about 30m long now filled but leaving a raised bank about 0.5m high. This runs at an angle to the road, it is less likely to be military so has not been recorded seperatley. (1)
