Full Description
First World War 'Tarrant' hut, moved from Harty Ferry in the early 1920's. The grid reference is for the site the hut is at now, not its First World War location, which is not precisely known.
The building is a timber First World War hut, believed to be a Tarrent Portable Hut Mark II. The building has only been seen from the road.
At a previous meeting with the householder it was explained that the building was war surplus and brought from Harty Ferry where it had been a "Mess Hall". (1)
