Full Description

A small quantity of Medieval tile and five sherds of Roman, Medieval and post medieval pottery were recovered from within a hillwash deposit on Priory Hill during the excavation of a shaft associated with a drainage infiltration scheme. The sherds included two pieces of Begic grog tempered ware, one sherd of Roman Upchurch ware, a fragment of Medieval Tyler Hill ware and a sherd of Late post Medieval Date. (1)
