Full Description
8 Pal handaxes and 10 debitage from Dartford Maypole County Primary School, Bexley, recovered during construction in 2001 (1). The handaxes are mostly ovate, although also some of them are pointed or sub-cordate. The artefacts are mostly in very fresh condition. They came from a gravelly clay-silt above the main river terrace gravel, mostly between 30 and 70 cm below the ground surface, between c. 39.5 and 41.5 m OD.
