Summary

The ceramic mural attached to the north wall of Cygnet House was commissioned to decorate the council offices with responsibility for the registration of births, deaths, and marriages, in 1962. The artist was Alan Boyson who trained at the Manchester Regional School of Art, and the Royal College of Art during the 1950s. In 2017 it was considered for Listed Building status but not deemed suitable.
